Aman Lara is proud to launch our Path to Protection initiative — a focused stream under our Global Refugee Support & Safe Passage Program. This targeted effort delivers urgent, gender- and youth-responsive protection services to women, girls, and at-risk youth facing extreme and often invisible threats in displacement.

These may include survivors of gender-based violence, victims of trafficking, forced marriage, honour-based violence, statelessness, or systemic legal exclusion — as well as those with urgent or chronic health needs who are unable to access local or cross-border medical care due to documentation, mobility, or protection barriers.

Despite their vulnerability, women, girls, and at-risk youth are among the least likely to access formal protection systems — particularly when lacking identity documents, male guardianship, or safe passage options. For youth, especially adolescent girls, these barriers are compounded by age-related legal exclusions, dependency on family or guardians, and increased risk of exploitation. Many remain trapped in limbo, unable to move safely across borders, register for asylum, or access even the most basic services required for survival, including critical healthcare, education, and mental health support

our commitment

At Aman Lara, we see these issues not only as humanitarian emergencies — but as solvable challenges requiring coordinated, rights-based responses. Aman Lara was founded to address precisely this kind of crisis.
